Starting with her term as the Independence School Student Government Association Vice President back in middle school, Monica has always strived to be an active member of her community.  In her job as a Policy Coordinator for the Delaware Coalition Against Domestic Violence, she can often be found  in Dover, arguing for policies that will help domestic violence survivors, or volunteering on the University of Delaware Sexual Offences Services, helping students support sexual assault survivors in the campus community.

Monica met her husband, Michael, while attending Trinity College Dublin and they married in 2015.  Michael is a proud Irish immigrant from County Wicklow and their son Bram was born in 2019.

Monica is a graduate of The Independence School, The Tatnall School, Trinity College Dublin (LLB), University of Edinburgh (LLM) and the University of Sussex (DPhil).  She currently serves on the boards of the Delaware Alliance Against Sexual Violence, the First State Abortion Fund, Friends of CASA, and the New York Alliance Against Sexual Assault.
